National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live, work and play. It provides a great opportunity to bring first responders and neighbors together under positive circumstances. All fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide participate in this annual event.
Many Rice Military and surrounding local businesses and restaurants will take part in a variety of activities and exhibits at the DePelchin Children's Center grounds such as, safety demonstrations, visits from emergency personnel - HPD and Precinct 1 Constable, face painting, dog costume contest, and much, much more — stay tuned!
