Here are some resources to help you to report problems and stay safe.

REPORTING PROBLEMS

For emergencies, please call 911.

For non-emergencies, like noise complaints or drunk people on your yard, call (713) 884-3131.

For parking enforcement, call 832-393-8690.

ALERT SLIPS

Alert slips are to be used in order to get HPD to increase patrols in our area for things such as speeding, excessive burglaries, etc.

ADVICE FROM THE POLICE

Houston has problems with cars being broke into. We recommend that you put your car in your garage if possible. If not, please put everything out of sight, including small things like sunglasses.

Another common complaint is stolen bicycles. A bicycle can be stolen out of an open garage in seconds. Always lock up your bikes and kept your garage door closed, even if you will be gone for a few minutes.

USING 311

311 is a great resource for reporting non-emergency problems. You can call 311, go to their website below, or download their app.

Common reports to 311 include:

Garbage container problems
Potholes
Traffic signal maintenance
Nuisance on property
Dead animal collection
Water meter leak
Ditch maintenance

Positive Interaction Program

These are meetings by the Police Department to promote a relationship with the community. They are held on the first Tuesday of every month, at the Union Hall HPD building, 1602 State St, 7pm.
